Located 2
miles west of Walt Disney World Resort's
main entrance, Splendid China is a Far East
themed park that presents models of buildings
and monuments from Asia. The 76 acres area
was built by 120 artisans from China.
The main attraction of the Splendid China
is the half-mile long model of part of the
Great Wall of China. Also you can find a
model of Leshan Buddah and one of the Wind
and Rain Bridge.
There is also a model of the Terra Cotta
warriors that guard Qinshijuang Emperor’s
tomb, a replica of the Forbidden City and
the maze of the Stone Forest. You can see
Dali Lama’s palace (though he lives
in exile in Tibet).
You can also see the central market and
streets of a Chinese town and visit authentic
shops to buy oriental products or you can
enjoy a real Chinese meal in a restaurant
listening to Asian music.

The Splendid China, Orlando is an investment
of $100 Million theme park. Opened to public in
the year 1993, it was located on a land of 76
acres which was west of the main entrance to Walt
Disney World. Quite a small baby form of china
this theme park welcomes their guest with beauty
and loveliness!!!
Apart from the entrances being an attraction
by itself, there are shows scheduled throughout
the day. The Chinese ethnicity, their way of living,
the typical Chinese music and worth exploring
and observing!! They perform troops of acrobats
doing beyond doubt remarkable things with jars.
They present hoola-hoops with their bodies which
are some of the most exciting things to capture!
Apart from the regular shows, tourist who used
to visit this place were seen strolling about
on the grounds and look at the scenes. People
like that atmosphere and the setting so much that
they simply chose to sit around enjoy the view.

It used to feature an extremely
large play structure called Panda Playground.
It is one place where kids can get entertained
to a highest level. This is one theme park
that is has no thrilling rides, no dazzling
lights, and no mad action and ostentatious
stunts that you will get to see in the other
theme parks. Splendid China, Orlando was
specially designed to offer uttermost relaxation
and meditation of the exquisiteness of the
Orient.
Florida Splendid China actually depicted
a serene and quite picture of China. The
temples that are occupied by picturesque,
vibrant and vivid monks, no troops stationed
in Tibet, and no tanks in Tiananmen Square.
The people who were highly against this
theme park, claimed that Florida Splendid
China was merely a tool for misinformation
rather than any sort of amusement.

Bu sadly on December 30, 2003, the Splendid China
Theme Park decided to discontinue operations in
