a must visit place to check out the monstrous
animals. There are more than several hundreds
of these animals scattered on the premises
and easily visible from any corner of
the land!
The gate that is the entrance area of
the park is formed in the resemblance
of an extremely large gator mouth. There
are a millions of tourist and vacationers
that have crossed this entrance and gazed
at some of the most outrageous animals.
Gatorland has a loaded history which
dates way back to the year 1930. Ever
since then this attraction has been family
be the owner of and have kindly operated
and pleased its visitors. Nature is one
of the most loved features of this place
and hence remains such a contradiction.
Apart from gators, there are lots of other
animal species of exotic and exceptional
wildlife. The snapping turtles, snakes,
different kind of birds, deer, and other
animals capture the attentions of onlookers.

and marine biologists that are seated around
the area are quite well informed and extremely

The Gator wrangler catches the gator and enacts
various stunts for the viewers in the typical
Floridian style.

The man behind making this whole creation come
alive is Frank Godwin, son of the founder of
Gatorland, named Owen Godwin.

Gatorland is also known as the Alligator
Capital of the World. It is an alligator
theme park as well as a wildlife preserve.
It is located near World Disney World,
Universal Studios and Sea World and
at a short distance from Orlando Airport.
It was founded in 1949
and now is privately owned by the founder’s
family. Now it houses 25 male and 100
female alligators. It is opened daily
from 9 AM to 5 PM and the ticket costs
$19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children
age 3-12.
Gatorland is home to
four great shows: Gator Jumperoo –gators
jump out of the water to receive food-,
Gator Wrestlin’ –a gator wrestling
show in a stadium that can house 800 people-,
Jungle Crocs- four species of crocodiles
display their power – and Upclose
Encounters –meet different animals.
You can visit Gator Island
or Flamingo Lagoon, take a Swamp Walk
or a Train Ride, see the Breeding Marsh
or the Snakes of Florida or check out
Allies Barnyard. If you like birds there
is an aviary. The kids can plat at Lilly’s
Pad.
